There are very few blanket pieces of beauty advice I can give out. But when someone asks for a primer recommendation, I tell them to check out Tula before they’ve had a chance to tell me the specifics of their skin type or what they hope to achieve. This is a Tula joint, so even though it’s technically a makeup product, it has a plethora of skincare benefits, too. A probiotic extract (Tula’s signature ingredient), yuzu, and willowherb are the heart of this formula. The probiotics can neutralize inflammation or other ailments that cause redness and rough texture. Yuzu fruit extract has hyperpigmentation-reducing and collagen-producing (aka anti-aging) properties. Lastly, at least one study on willowherb found it to have anti-inflammatory (which is good for texture smoothing) and antioxidant benefits, too.
One shopper said they’re always “blown away” by the Tula Brighten Up Smoothing Primer’s “skin-blurring, real-life filter” effect.
